A zine workbench. A zine is pages; a page holds text, frames and layers. Write it as a script, change anything, and it re-runs into a printable spread.

  • Tables with exact odds: d6, d66 and nested tables, decks that do not repeat, with the probability of every branch worked out.
  • Pictures are recipes: a source and a list of steps (duotone, threshold, dithers, halftone, woodcut) that run as jobs on lanes.
  • Clay creatures, collage and library cuts: bestiaries, sticker sheets, glitch collages and museum plates.
  • Ornaments: repeat() borders, pattern() wallpapers and rosettes.
  • Edit by hand: drag things on the spread, then promote the edit back into the script. Draw on the page in the DS view.
  • Print: spreads, pages and imposed sheets, with xerox and riso looks; save a page as PNG or SVG.

More than forty examples come with it, from a first zine to The Doomland, The Pink Vitrine, The Night Market of Ulan Tor, a comic about a werm who wanted a hat, and a mini-8 folded from one sheet.
