Takt Workbench

Script a workstation and its operators in JavaScript, then watch the plan run in 3D with a two-handed timeline of every gesture.

A workbench for scripting people at work. You write a small JavaScript scene (benches, bins, trays, tools, parts and operators) and a standard operating procedure of verbs like pick, place, fasten and drive; Takt plans it, runs it as a discrete-event simulation with two hands per operator, and draws it in 3D with a timeline of every gesture.

  • Script, plan, run, render: the editor reruns as you type. Every lambda is coloured by the stage it runs at (build, live or frame), so you can see what a change will cost.
  • Two hands and derived order: left and right hands get their own tracks; hold() stretches while the other hand works, with(tool) fetches and returns tools, and the order comes from what each step reads and writes.
  • Faults and live logic: rewrite the plan with skip, swap, inject and substitute; add interrupts, cross-thread rework, andon lights that spawn a material handler, and buffers between stations that block and starve.
  • Parameters from the script: int, num, percent, bool, choice, seed, colour and trigger controls appear in a panel, each marked with the stage it is read at.
  • See it from anywhere: cameras declared in the script plus a free orbit, overlays for boxes, features, trails and the HUD, and click a thing in the viewport to find its line.
  • Run views: Timeline, Plan, Trace, World state, per-frame Labels with bounding boxes (for synthetic datasets) and Problems.

Twenty-six presets come with it, in seven groups from Basics to Demos: Hello bench, Four screws, Two hands, Elastic hold, Fault rewrites, Andon and handler, Leak test line, PC refurbishment, Blower P-230 station, Glue station, Kitting cell, Inspection and sort, Dataset variant and A 20-minute shift. The 3D view uses three.js.
